Competition Theme
Through the MTR Metaverse Future Station Facility Creation Competition, we aim to encourage secondary students to observe, identify, and gain insight from the daily MTR operations and customers’ needs, and then utilize their imagination and creativity to design unique and innovative station facilities for MTR Metaverse to address the identified needs.

Quota
50 teams / Total 100 students
Eligibility
- Secondary students from Form 1 – 3
- Participants must form teams of two members and apply through their schools
- Team members must be from the same school but not necessarily in the same year of study
- Each student can only join one team, multiple entries are not allowed
Competition Process
- Secondary students from Form 1-3 must form a team of two members and apply through their schools. The application should include a short description of their creative concept (within 150 Chinese characters) on future station facility for MTR Metaverse
- Based on creativity and relevancy of the submitted creative concept, the organizer will shortlist a total of 50 teams (100 students) to join the VoxEdit Workshop
- In the VoxEdit* Workshop, 50 teams of participants would learn the basic application of the 3D computer model tool to facilitate them completing their competition entries
- After the workshop, participants should continue to work on their own work and submit their competition entries, along with their creative proposal in no more than two A4 pages, by the deadline for judging purpose

- Winning teams will be selected by a panel of professional judges according to the Competition Judging Criteria
- The work of the winning teams will be showcased at the award ceremony and in an exhibition. Winning teams’ work may even be featured in the MTR Metaverse

VoxEdit Workshop
Location: Hong Kong Design Institute
1/F, Lee Wai Lee Building, 3 King Ling Road, Tseung Kwan O, N.T., H.K.
- Workshop will be cancelled if Red / Black Rainstorm Warning Signal or Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.8 or above is issued three hours before it begins
- Workshop will be held as scheduled if the Red / Black Rainstorm Warning Signal or Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above is cancelled three hours before it begins
- In case Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above is issued during the workshop, it will be cancelled immediately
- When Red / Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is in force during the workshop, it will be continued, unless otherwise announced by the Teacher
- Arrangement of make-up workshop will be notified later
VoxEdit Workshop Content
(Conducted in Cantonese, about 3 hours)
- Overview of The Sandbox creation process and tools
- Voxel Art introduction and creation training
- Application of VoxEdit to create 3D computer model
- Competition details
Each student will receive a course completion certificate upon completion of the workshop.
Submission Format
- 3 Screenshots of the artwork (Accept JPG, JPEG, PNG files)
- VoxEdit Working Folder (Including all .vxr, .vax, .png, and other related files)
- A proposal within two A4 pages, introducing the design concept and story behind the artwork
- Address the identified needs from observation, identification, and insight gained from the daily MTR operations and passengers’ needs
- Practicality of the design: How can the facility address the identified needs
Before submission, please compress the above 3 sets of files into a .zip file. The .zip file should be no larger than 20MB.
