As the world’s first transport operator to enter The Sandbox Metaverse, MTR launched a unique and interesting Web3 experience with the theme of rail, MTR Metaverse, in early 2023 to take the customer experience to a new level and work with the community to build this new platform.

MTR Metaverse station features various innovative technological concepts, such as 3D holographic projections and various newly designed robots, with futuristic designs that make participants feel like they are in the future! The station adopts an open design and introduces renewable energy equipment such as solar panels, incorporating environmental concepts. In addition, the Metaverse station also incorporates time-travel elements, recreating the 1980s Choi Hung Station to showcase the station environment, facilities, and trains of the time.
