海外升學｜英國牛津郡教育資源豐富 公校私校選擇多【593期】

英國牛津郡（Oxfordshire）可是無人不曉的著名大學城，也是升學移居熱點。除了著名的牛津大學，該地坐擁聖瑪利亞大教堂、哈利波特場景基督書院、購物天堂Westgate Oxford及Bicester Village Outlet。從大學城乘火車到倫敦市中心的Paddington站，約需四十二分鐘。
牛津大學為整個牛津郡注入濃濃的學術氣息，郡內還有數個主要城市，如北部Banbury、Bicester和Chipping Norton；南部Abingdon、Wantage、Didcot、Wallingford和Henley-on-Thames。該郡教育資源豐富，郡內共有三百一十六所公立小學、幼兒學校，超過三分之二獲Ofsted評為Outstanding或Good，受推崇的公立小學有Windrush Valley School、St Andrew's Church of England Primary School、 Cholsey Primary School、Benson Church of England Primary School等。中學方面，牛津郡有三十一所公立中學，超過50%（即十六所）被Ofsted評為Outstanding或Good，包括Cherwell School、Matthew Arnold School、Cheney School、Burford School等。
私立學校成績更突出
當地的私校歷年在A-Level成績更是名列前茅，英國國家中學成績排名表每年計算各校在A-Level中獲得A*至B級成績的百分比、GCSE和IGCSE中獲得A*和A級及九、八和七級成績的考生百分比。牛津郡Magdalen College School在全英排名第三，96.1%學生在A-Level獲得A*至B；Summertown的Oxford High School排名第十；Abingdon的St Helen and St Katherine中學排名第四十一，Abingdon School排名第四十四；著名女校Headington School排第八十七；牛津的d'Overbroeck's和St Edward's School也進入前一百五十名。
